Your employer is strongly committed to offering you an extensive benefits package. The following
lessons will give you more specifics on your benefit options, including the features of each plan
and a few things you might want to consider in making your decisions.
The
Benefits Overview
lesson gives a quick summary of your benefit options and introduces the course structure.
The
Health Insurance Options
lesson covers the medical and dental plans. It also includes the Flexible Spending Account program
that you can use to pay your out-of-pocket expenses not covered by insurance.
The
Life Insurance Options
lesson covers life insurance, accidental death and dismemberment insurance, disability,
and long-term care coverage.
The
Retirement and Savings
lesson goes over the Master Retirement Plan as well as the Thrift Plan. The Thrift Plan is a 401(k)
plan that allows you to save a percentage of your pay that’s automatically put into a savings
account for retirement. One of the great things about the Thrift Plan is that your employer also puts
a matching contribution into your account.
The
Enrollment
lesson discusses how to enroll for benefits, including the information you will need to enroll, timing,
and restrictions.
